Meatless District
A fully plant-based restaurant with a creative, seasonal menu.

On the lively Bilderdijkstraat in Oud-West, Meatless District is one of Amsterdam's best-loved vegan restaurants. Founded in 2016 (and now fully plant-based), it takes its name and look from New York's Meatpacking District, with a vibrant but cosy feel.
The kitchen is all about flavour rather than imitation — roasting, smoking and grilling vegetables into inventive, comforting dishes, much of it made in-house, served as shareable plates.
The food
Highlights include King Oyster mushroom 'scallops', the Lion's mane steak, the signature MD Burger and creative small plates designed for sharing, plus indulgent desserts and a strong cocktail list. It's a place even committed meat-eaters tend to enjoy.
Good to know
Sharing is encouraged, so order a spread across the table to get the most out of it. It's popular and open for dinner most nights (with weekend lunch), so booking ahead is recommended.
