Legal — cookies
The cookies we actually set
A small, deliberate set. Essentials are always on, analytics only after you click accept, and you can change your mind any time by clearing site data.

What each one does
We use cookies for three things only: keeping you logged in, remembering your language and age-gate choice, and (with your consent) measuring anonymous traffic.
Every cookie we set
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|
| ha_consent | Stores your choice from the cookie banner. | 180 days | Essential |
| ha_age_ok | Confirms you are 18+ for the After Dark section. | 30 days | Essential |
| ha_locale | Remembers your selected language. | 365 days | Functional |
| _ha_session | Anonymous session identifier for aggregate analytics. | Session | Analytics (with consent) |
Third-party services
When you click an affiliate link to a partner (Booking.com, GetYourGuide, Tiqets, etc.) that partner sets its own cookies under its own privacy policy. We don't share your personal data with them — only the affiliate referral ID embedded in the link.
Analytics — opt-in only
Analytics cookies only load after you click accept on the banner. We use them to count anonymous page views and referrers, never to build a profile of you.
How to disable cookies
All modern browsers let you block or clear cookies in settings. Blocking essential cookies may break parts of the site (for example, the age-verification on After Dark will re-prompt on every visit).
Plain rule
If it isn't strictly needed, it doesn't load until you say yes.
