Introduction
In 2026 Amsterdam hosts WorldPride, a global celebration of LGBTQIA+ visibility and rights. From 25 July to 8 August the city fills with events, parties and exhibitions, culminating in the famous Canal Parade on 1 August.
Pride Amsterdam is one of the city's biggest annual celebrations, and in 2026 it takes on extra significance as Amsterdam hosts WorldPride. Across two weeks there are talks, exhibitions, sports events, street parties and community gatherings, rooted in the city's long tradition of openness. The most visible moment is the Canal Parade, when decorated boats wind through the canals before huge, festive crowds.
