About this venue
In Utrecht, at Agnietenstraat 2 opposite the Centraal Museum, you'll find a small museum designed specifically for the very young: the Miffy Museum (nijntje museum). It celebrates Dick Bruna's character Miffy (nijntje in Dutch) and is aimed at toddlers and preschoolers.
Inside, children can play, dress up and wander through child-sized rooms, each themed around Miffy's world. It is a calm, low-key first museum experience and works well on a rainy day.
From Amsterdam it is a day trip: the train to Utrecht Centraal takes about 30 minutes, and the museum sits in Utrecht's old centre. Combine it with a walk through the city or the Centraal Museum across the street.
