Benji's
Laid-back specialty-coffee brunch spot on the Baarsjesweg — soft brioche buns, generous bowls and no-reservation ease.

Benji's does the modern brunch canon without the queue culture that plagues the genre elsewhere in town: egg-stacked brioche buns, smashed avocado with parmesan, yoghurt bowls and banana bread bigger than advertised, plus coffee that takes itself seriously. Portions are honest — one dish per person genuinely suffices — and the room keeps a low-key, neighbourly hum even at weekend peak. Daytime only, kitchen closes mid-afternoon. The right start before exploring the Baarsjes' canal-side streets or the Kinkerstraat shops.
