La Brutal is the answer to Amsterdam's oldest food complaint — that the city can't do real tacos. Run by Mexicans, approved loudly by Mexicans, it grills its meats juicy and correct, doubles its tortillas properly and keeps the format street-simple. The trade-off is patience: everything is made to order and waits stretch past half an hour at peak, with tickets not always emerging in sequence. Order more than you think, take them to a market bench, and taste why the neighbourhood forgave the queue instantly. Closed Mondays.
