On the corner facing the Oosterpark gates, Louie Louie runs from morning coffee to late cocktails with a Latin-American slant in between: pork belly and soft-shell crab tacos, sharing plates, frozen margaritas that taste like a Mediterranean afternoon. The high-ceilinged room is handsome, but the wraparound terrace is the reason to come — on a sunny day it's one of the best seats in Oost. It handles groups well (vegan menus on request) and stays open past most neighbours at weekends. Casual by design; drop in after a park loop.
