Van de Werf
Waterside all-rounder on the NDSM quay — eggs Benedict by morning, octopus risotto by night, generous plates throughout.

Van de Werf looks like a standard terrace-by-the-water and then quietly over-delivers: a proper hollandaise at breakfast, carpaccio and tartare in the afternoon, and an octopus risotto at dinner that regulars plan return visits around. Portions are generous, prices reasonable for the waterfront, and the split-level interior means the upstairs tables get a genuine IJ view. Service can slow down when the terrace packs out, so treat it as a linger-spot rather than a quick stop. A dependable first or last address on any NDSM visit.
