Built from shipping containers on the NDSM wharf, Pllek is the address that turned Noord into a destination. The riverside terrace — sand, beanbags, fire pits in winter — faces the IJ head-on, which makes it the city's default sunset spot; in summer, claim your patch early. The kitchen does honest, largely organic cooking with strong vegetarian options, and while nobody crosses the river for the food alone, the combination of plate, view and easy-going crowd is hard to beat. Come by ferry from Central Station, stay for the evening; weekends often end with music and dancing.
