Wilde Zwijnen
Seasonal set menus on the Javaplein — modernised Dutch cooking at fine-dining level without the fine-dining bill.

A pioneer of the Indische Buurt's food scene, Wilde Zwijnen works in changing three-to-five-course menus built on Dutch and regional produce: langoustines with house-churned butter, duck cooked with precision, cheese courses worth keeping room for. The cooking is fine-dining serious, the room and prices are not — which is exactly the trade Amsterdam's food lovers cross town for. Let the team pick the wines; pairing is their sport. Evenings only through the week, with Sunday opening from noon. Book ahead, especially for the window tables.
