Nela
International chef-restaurant on the southern Beethovenstraat — fire-driven cooking, a chef's counter and vegetables that steal the show.

Sister to Nela London, this is the most serious kitchen on the street's southern stretch: open fire, top-grade seafood and meat (the toro and sea bream have followings), and — the connoisseur's tell — vegetable dishes like charred carrots that guests rank above the mains. The chef's counter is the seat to book; on good nights chef Ori himself makes the rounds. The room skews fancy and the bill international, with service polish still catching up to the cooking here and there. For Zuidas dinners that need to impress, this is the current answer.
